Default Anyone else dissappointed by the lack of samurai armor in factions?

I was hoping to get some really cool samurai armors, helms, and clothing. There are some that are very loosely based on it but just not as cool looking as those demon-faced helms.

I just always thought samurai armor was really cool.

I realy like Samurai too, but I think it would be a good class rather then a set of armor for an exsisting class.

A Warrior with Samurai Armor is still going to look like A Warrior, wearing a Samurai Outfit, it doesn't give him Kenjutsu or real Samurai fashion so it is kind of lame. I don't even appreciate Katana as a normal sword weapons, but Warriors have "Dagger" sword weapons too so it is realy just a skin.

I agree. Man. There should have been the option of two-handed swords or two-handed axes and also one-handed hammers. That would have been so nice.

Hammers deal a lot of damage, being able to use one with one hand and have an item in the other causes unbalance.

thats why you reduce the damage of one-handed hammers. they would be a weaker source of blunt damage.

My brother wanted a Raiden hat... He gets all sad when he sees little Canthans running around in them but he doesn't have one.

And thats not a terrible idea on the one handed hammer thing if you reduce the damage.

I see it now:

Earth Shaker:
All adjacent foes are knocked down by the force of your tiny one-handed ball-peen hammer striking the ground.

Do you really see that thing providing knockdown chains?

Hammer, axe, and sword mastery skills are designed with that specific weapon and its stats in mind. Having a different damage, speed, or one/two-handedness might make using that weapon with its attribute's skills either useless or overpowered.

In a fantasy world like guild wars... it could happen.

I'd love samurai armor. I'm very disappointed with warrior warmor in factions (except some of the Kurz). That's why I have 15k glad boots. So cool looking! If only the rest of the 15k glad looked as good.

hey every1 is entitled to their own opinion.

um, also i'm not saying that factions was set in feudal japan but it is asian themed.
much like the great northern wall is based on the great wall of china, or the hall of heroes is based on the halls of valhalla. the gladiator's armor is based on roman gladiator armors and the platemail armor is based on medieval armors but it doesn't mean that the game was set in ancient rome or medieval europe. so don't be a prick about it.

this is asian themed game it doenst mean that they wanted to implement types of cultures and armors of our Earth in Cantha. As you may have noticed Cantha is its own Asian conitinent with its own armors, not a bunch of samurai posers

Don't tell me that A.Net didn't implement types of cultures and armors of our Earth in Cantha. Assassins are of course ninjas. The roof tops and design of some buildings are similar to those of China. They even used Asian names.

And as I pointed out earlier. Gladiator's armors are "implemented" from roman gladiators and platemail armors are "implemented" from medieval europe.

I was just saying that it would have been cool to have one of those demon faced samurai helms.

I wish my assassin could use a katana and still do some of the cool assassin moves... wouldn't that kind of make sense? I just don't feel pr0 using these little daggers...
